My First 30 days at Sapient i7…

On the 1st of June I started the next step in my career. I could not have imagined that it would be so exciting and overwhelming at the same time! 


Having a background in international careers and being in the Recruitment Industry you think you have seen a lot, from the major DAX and FTSE companies to small start-ups in the outskirts of Berlin. Oh how wrong could I be, the environment and spirit that I have seen at Sapient i7 since starting is at a completely different level.

My colleagues come from everywhere around the globe which gives a nice touch to our office environment as we all have something different to offer. It also creates a feeling of respect and understanding, and it shows that we are an equal opportunity company. We have a lot of different team activities from lunches and sports to CSR, where everyone is welcome to contribute and participate. For me, coming from a recruitment and sales environment it is great to sit next to a Senior Architect one day, the Marketing Specialist the next then the CEO or COO. This allows you to really understand every aspect of the company and the different roles each person plays to create our mutual success! 

We have had to move offices 3 times since I have joined as we are growing at such a rapid pace the offices are getting too small!  By the way the office location, WeWork Spitalfields couldn’t be better, it’s in the middle of the City, close to the Heron Tower (known to us as the Salesforce Tower) and perfect connections to the tube, train and airport. And for the lunchbreak we have a huge variety of street food at Spitalfields Market. Also, a beer or wine after work is just around the corner with lots of different funky locations to go to.

Now onto my personal day to day, I have the luxury that every day is different. I work as a Recruitment Practice Lead, which means I work with the technical team for solutions and products that are tailored for our Recruitment and TA Clients. I also work with Salesforce around Prospects and Leads in the industry and sell these services to our clients. Besides that, I organise events for clients and work closely with independent advisors to optimise our offerings and debate the challenges we are facing. Due to all these varied activities, no day looks the same and every conversation adds something to the day. In the meantime, I am learning more and more about the exciting technology Salesforce has to offer. 

I cannot recommend Sapient i7 enough, to anyone who is ambitious and ready to take their career into their own hands.
